SILENT HEROINES
100 years of Linz women‘s history

„STILLE HELDINNEN – 100 Jahre Linzer Frauengeschichte“ (Silent Heroines – 100 Years of Women‘s History in Linz) is a travelling exhibition of the Linz Women‘s Office designed by ANAIS. It was first shown in March 2011 on the occasion of the 100th International Women‘s Day in the foyer of the Old Town Hall in Linz.

Sixteen flags depict the development of various themes from 1911-2011. 100 roses hanging from the ceiling refer to the song of the women‘s movement „Bread and Roses“. The „red“ carpet with the inscription „To be continued“ provides a symbolic stage for the „silent heroines“ and points to the future.
