COLORS MATTER
Manual for experimenting and designing with color

COLORS MATTER by Anja Aichinger is part of a series of publications in which the topics, findings and working methods of BiB-Lab / Innovation Lab for Educational Spaces in Motion (bib-lab.at) are presented in a practical and application-oriented manner. The BiB-Lab was a three-year research project at the Technical University Vienna focusing on the impact of “space” in educational processes. It was carried out as part of the FFG program Innovation Labs for Education and funded by the Innovation Foundation for Education.

This publication was created in the course of teaching and research activities in the BiB-Lab school space laboratory and is based on the author’s many years of experience with the topic of color in teaching, research and design practice.

COLORS MATTER provides basic information on the subject of color and uses playful exercises to train conscious perception of the phenomenon. It also encourages creative experimentation with the medium in the classroom and during leisure time.
